New shoe finds

Stopping in with a pair of shoe finds that came yesterday, after Christmas shopping for others was done.

First, Manolo Blahnik khaki elastic, leather and cork sandals, also $40 at Nordstrom Rack. Most of the women who shop there must have small feet. How did this happen -- 93% off retail? We'll never know. I just plan to enjoy these.

Next, Sergio Rossi silver sandals, $40 at DSW at MetroPointe near South Coast Plaza. These will be my evening shoes for 2012 events. BTW, there were silver ankle-tie sandals left there in a size 41, same price. A slingback is better for me.

Part II

For my birthday, I have to now buy myself gifts since both of my parents are now deceased. On top, we have Manolo Blahnik gold sandals, size 41. They were over $100 but it was my birthday and I missed out on them at Saks' ridiculous sale two years ago.

Up top, it's a Lilly Pulitzer clutch and T-shirt. Both on sale, of course. The clutch will work in S/S 2012. The T-shirt, I'm wearing today to drive back to my other place.

Hence:

Been away for a bit, new finds

Good day, readers.

Time for an accessory update. I've shopped pretty well recently. Here are some examples.

Hello, yellow!

I've been on a citron yellow kick lately. First, got a J. Crew lemon pulp featherweight cashmere sweater.

Yesterday, at a Buffalo Exchange-esque secondhand place, found a J. Crew uptown tote from Borge Garveri (leather house that's now defunct) that is lemon with green suede lining. Carried it today.

More shoes

On Sunday, prior to heading to the LANPHC picnic, I found a new store in CdM. This time, they had Gucci sandals for $25. I'm happy. The bamboo handles are a nice touch. And I don't worry about the wear.

Shoes, shoes, shoes

Last weekend, I had a nice shoe shopping weekend. Started out with Manolo Blahnik black patent and snakeskin slides for $42. These are smaller than my usual size but they fit fine.

Prada drivers

I just love unexpected bargains. These came from Crossroads Trading Co. in Costa Mesa. We have a detail shot on top and a full shot on bottom. I'm wearing them today.

Hermes treat

In these times, I realized how blessed I am to have a solid job. I received a long-awaited raise recently and gave myself a treat. It's a Hermes Feux de Route Apercus La Nuit, En Mer scarf in sea green tones. It was secondhand, so less than $100.

Accessory heavy

Of my three blogs, I plan to make this the accessory one.

So to kick it off, I show you a Majorica multicolor costume pearl necklace. Since I can't afford Mikimoto and I won't buy my own pearls -- I am old-fashioned like that -- Majorica provides serviceable replicas.

This was a TJ Maxx find. About 2/3 off retail.

Welcome

Here is yet another one of my blogs. We'll see how this goes.

Hopefully, here's a pic that shows my style:
